I HAVE NO IDEA Today we have a special secret presentation that I am sure will be fun for all. Just think of it as a twofer. You get lunch and a cooling station.

DON MCCUE Last week reinforced the reason many of us attend the Rotary lunches. Of course, it is always good to see friends and what you’ll volunteer for next. But there are certain programs that stand out, and I for one feel lucky to be in attendance. One of those programs was last week when DON MCCUE presented a very special historical perspective on the “75th Anniversary of D-Day.” I learned so much from DON and for those of us that have family that were involved, it was a stark reminder of what they went through. DON’s presentation was articulate and flawless, like a good movie, I didn’t look at my watch once. THANK YOU, DON, for walking us through such an important event.

PIERS BRITTON, from the University of Redlands will be our speaker. Piers is the Director of Media and Visual Studios. I am sure he will dazzle us with some type of visual media.

THE DICTATOR IS STILL IN POWER JUNE 22 CEREMONY Last I looked, PRESIDENT JOSE was still standing in front of the group last Thursday. That soon will be remedied at the end of the month and you will have a chance to verbally trash him on June 22. So plan to be at VICTORIA MARSHALL’s house located at 128 Belmont Court, Redlands (west of Hamburg Germany) to give Mr. HORZONE a piece of your mind.

What a great time to be had by all…Thank you JIM NOLIN, JEFF MARTINEZ and all the volunteers who spent their Saturday making sure the kids had a great time and the parents left exhausted. Also thanks to JAN HUDSON for sponsoring the dunk tank that held celebrities like fire fighters, Redlands City Council Member TONY MOMBURGER (I didn’t know it was her when I pulled the lever to dunk her), and of course MR PRESIDENT JOSEPHINA HARZONE. CAL will be providing the statistics to the club within the next week or two, but the attendance looked great.

Redlands Bowl: Don’t forget that the season kicks off June 21, and I seem to remember that MARVIN HUDSON was asking for volunteers to help pass the red bucket. See MARV for more details

“People often say that motivation doesn’t last. Well, neither does bathing – that’s why we recommend it daily.” Zig Ziglar.

JOE JOVIALLY JUDICIOUS JABBERING’S Another Touch-A-Truck in the books! I want to thank everyone who came out and volunteered to help this year. It was another great success and the children of our community clearly enjoyed it! As our last fundraiser of the year it was nice to see the support of the whole club in getting it done! Looking forward with 3 weeks left I want to personally thank again the committees for Touch-A-Truck and RW&B as without these fundraisers we can’t do the great things we do in the community!
