THE DISTRICT CONFERENCE

Our Club has already sponsored your participation, just let Prez JOHN know that you’re planning to attend some or all of the conference!

Friday’s Schedule is about the Foundation Gala and is exciting.

Come and hear from our own Global Scholar STACEY ESTRADA on the impact Rotary has made in her life. Friday will feature Rotary’s Triple Crown Recognition, Polio Update, Major Donor Recognition, Foundation Update and Foundation Awards. Friday’s Keynote Speaker will be our own Past District Governor STEVE WALLACE. This should be amazing to hear STEVE’s take on the great things our District and the Rotary Foundation have done.

Saturday’s Schedule is about the District’s Conference. We will have a recorded message from RI President HOLGER KNAACK. We will hear from the 3 top winners of the District 4 Way Test Speech Contest.

Club Awards will be announced for Club Service, Community Service, International Service, Membership, Public Image, Vocational Service and Youth Service, I have attached a preview of our beautiful patches being awarded this year. Our key note speaker on Saturday will be Rotary International Vice President and Zone 26/27 Director JOHRITA SOLARI. District Governor’s Awards winners will be revealed, and Special Patches will also be awarded.

Sunday’s Schedule is about the Celebration of Life Ceremony. Sunday we will be honoring those amazing Rotarians that have passed this year.

THOUGHTS FROM THE PREZ

Tomorrow afternoon at 5:00 PM District governor BARRY VALDEZ will call the District 5330 Conference to order. District Conferences are a good way to learn more about Rotary and especially what Rotary is doing in our area as well as in the world. I encourage you to consider joining me and several others from our Club at the Conference which will continue into Saturday as well (as you can see on the agenda which was sent to you). To receive the link all you need to do is email me indicating your willingness to attend at least part of the Conference. Your name, along with the names of our Board members, will then be placed on a list of Rotarians to receive the link to this Conference.

My apologies to those of you who tried to get to our meeting last week before reading a second email with a different link. My credit card company insisted that I change the number on my card and claimed they would notify companies, with which I do business, of the change. When they didn’t do so with Zoom, I was temporarily cut off. At 11:00 AM that morning I realized what had happened and fixed it. But, after that I had to send out a different link to all of you. I’m certain this will not occur again. So, look for one link to today’s meeting and please join us.
