TODAY

We welcome one of our newer members, PAT WILLIAMS, to share her story of Angel’s Closet. Once you hear this heartwarming story of providing basic needs to high school and middle school students, you’ll understand why this club has supported her for many years.

LAST WEEK

We met several (but not all) of our scholarship recipients. This year our club distributed a total of $114,000 to 37 students. Each student was introduced by CHRIS WALKER and then spoke to DR. JIM BELOTE concerning their future school, major and occupation.

All three $3,000 Anderson Scholarship awardees, ALISTAIR HYNES, a senior at Redlands High School, TAIT WHITTEMORE, a senior from Redlands East Valley HS and JACOB SHAHATIT, a senior at Citrus Valley High School were recognized.

HAMILTON JEONG, a senior at Redlands High School was recognized for being awarded the $2,000 Susan Clark M.D. Scholarship.

JOHNATHON GHAZAL, a senior at Redlands East Valley H.S. was recognized for the $4,000 Ernest Cronemeyer Scholarship.

KYLIE MCCUE, a senior at Citrus Valley H.S. was recognized for the $4,000 Edgar Fisher Scholarship.

JARED RUBOW, a senior at Redlands East Valley H.S. was recognized for the $3,000 Hatfield Family Scholarship.

AMANDA MORRISON, a senior at Redlands East Valley H.S. and HALEY SMITH, a senior at Citrus Valley H.S. were recognized for the $24,000 ($6000 for four years) Rhodes Family Scholarship. ISAIAH SOHN, a senior at Redlands High School was also awarded the Rhodes Family Scholarship but was in Korea on family business so his father attended and spoke on his behalf.

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

And just like that, the 10th annual Touch-A-Truck is in the books! I sadly had family matters to attend to out of the area and wasn’t there, but upon my return I heard nothing but rave reviews – a job well done to the many Rotarians who made it possible! The next gathering to look forward to is the Demotion Party hosted by JEN DANIEL so remember to mark your calendars for June 27th from 5-7pm.
