THE SPOKE JOKE

Tim decided to tie the knot with his long-time girlfriend, Sarah. One evening, several weeks after the honeymoon, Tim was cleaning and organizing his golfing equipment. Sarah was standing nearby watching, hoping for some of Tim’s attention, but nothing phased him.

After a long period of silence, Sarah finally spoke: “Tim, I’ve been thinking, now that we’re married maybe it’s time you quit golfing. You spend so much time on the course. You could probably get a good price for your clubs.” Tim looked at her, stunned and horrified.

“Darling, what’s wrong?” Sarah gasped.

“For a minute there you were beginning to sound like my exwife!” said Tim.

“Ex-wife!” Sarah screamed, “I didn’t know you were married before!”
“I wasn’t,” he replied.

One more for the road…(since we’re dark next week)

A man asked God, “God, is it true that to you a billion years is like a second?”
“Yes,” answered God.
The man asked, “God, is it true that to you a billion dollars is like a penny?”
“Yes,” answered God.
The man asked, “God, can I have a penny?”
God said, “Sure, just a second.”

PRESIDENTS MESSAGE

Hello Rotarians! I hope everyone had a chance to unwind last week during National Relaxation Day, savor a Hazy IPA on National Hazy IPA Day, sport your favorite Hawaiian shirt, and perhaps indulge in a little National Rum Day fun, I know I did.

As we move through my Rotary year, I’m continually inspired by the strength of our community. Our club is a shining example of what can be accomplished when we come together with a shared purpose, we have many things in the works already. Also, with District Governor Judy Zulfigar’s visit on September 5th, let’s take this opportunity to showcase what makes our club so unique and impactful.

On another note, if you have some time, we could use your help with either social media or planning some of our upcoming events. Your contributions make all the difference!
