Rotary Club of Redlands presents “A Party With A Purpose”

The annual Rotary Club Red, Wine & Blues event is being held at Redlands Country Club on Saturday, March 29, 2014 from 4:00pm to 7:00pm.

The “Party” includes wine tasting representing 30 wineries, excellent food provided by the chef at Redlands Country Club and music featuring the Big Pappa and the TCB Band. Local craft breweries will also be present for those who prefer a brew instead.

A Live auction items include a “Green Egg” barbeque dinner for six in a private home, a two night stay in Calistoga complete with a fabulous dinner, wine and cheese party in the tower at Smiley Library, a seven night Princess Cruise to the Mexican Rivera and tickets to a final performance of “The Follies” in Palm Springs. In addition, a villa in Tuscany for a week stay is sure to be a popular item!

A chance to acquire a minimum of a $50.00 bottle of wine that may have come from some of the finest private wine cellars in Redlands is always an exciting experience.

Silent auction items include a 2004 bottle of Dom Perignon complete flutes, a Kendal Fire, two night stay in Lake Arrowhead, sterling silver Swarovski necklace, a two night escape to your choice of either San Diego or San Francisco, tickets to “We Will Rock You” at the Ahmanson Theater, beauty services and products and many more items.

Proceeds from this event support the youth of our community through scholarships given to Redlands Unified School District students, dictionary distribution to RUSD elementary schools, Student of the Month recognition, Music and Speech competition for youth, support of the high school INTERACT clubs all of which assist the young people into becoming strong adults. Rotary has also been involved in the Redlands Median planting, creation of Caroline Park and the benches at local bus stops.
